Oregon - Supervisor Livestock Brand Inspector
The Oregon Department of Agriculture (ODA), Food Safety & Animal Health program has an opening for a Livestock Brand Inspection Supervisor position.
As the Supervising Livestock Brand Inspector, you will perform livestock inspections by examining livestock (cattle and horses) to distinguish brands, marks and other identifying characteristics to verify ownership. Additionally, you will supervise Brand Inspection personnel in the assigned geographical area, assuring availability of brand inspectors to meet the statutory requirements for cattle inspections within our state. You will also investigate estray cattle and horse cases to determine ownership. This may consist of door-to-door contact with neighbors; telephone interviews and contact with law enforcement officials.
The Supervising Livestock Brand Inspector, is a Permanent full-time position located in the Willamette Valley and this position is not represented by the Union.
